A MOTORCYCLE instructor has died after his high-powered bike crashed into a tree.

Colin Gray was travelling from Norris Hill in Fleet towards Aldershot on the A323 at about 8.15am on Saturday when the crash happened.

It is believed the 33-year-old, who was riding a black Honda 1000cc motorbike, was overtaking a Transit van near the junction with Aldershot Road just before the incident happened.

Mr Gray, a motorcycle instructor from Lambourne Gardens in Earley, Reading, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with any information should contact PC Adrian Rosser at Farnborough roads policing unit on 101, quoting Operation Topsail, or leave a message with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
