Children break man's arm in park assault
By Pete CastleJuly 14, 2010
CHILDREN as young as 14 were involved in a brutal attack on two men in Aldershot that left one man with a broken arm.
The attackers, two teenage boys and a girl, assaulted the two men in Arlington Terrace, Aldershot, as they walked home between 1.30am and 2am on Saturday (July 10).
One man, aged 22, suffered a broken arm and a 21-year-old had a cut head, swollen eye and facial bruising after being “kicked or punched”, police said. Both needed hospital treatment.
Detectives said one boy was white, around 16 or 17, 6ft tall and slim, with blond streaks in his hair. The girl, also white, was between 14 and 16, 5ft 4ins tall and of medium build, with shoulder-length blonde hair and was wearing big hooped earrings.
Unprovoked
Detective Constable Helen Calton, from Aldershot CID, said the attack was “completely unprovoked” and asked for witnesses to come forward.
“The area would have been busy and I’d like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this assault or saw the group responsible in the area during the early hours of Saturday morning," she said.
"If you have any information that can help with the investigation, please get in touch.”
Contact Det Con Calton at Aldershot police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
