By Jack SommersAugust 26, 2011
A MAN arrested in connection with an armed robbery at Tesco in Aldershot has been released.
A 40-year-old man, who is from Farnborough and was arrested the day after the robbery, has been bailed until November 2, as police continued their investigation.
At about 12.15pm on August 24, a Group 4 Securicor van was making a delivery of money to the cash machines at Tesco in Wellington Avenue.
The guards were approached by two men who both had their faces covered. They were threatened by one of the men, who is thought to have had a handgun.
Both men then made off with a quantity of money, along the A325 towards Farnham, on a distinctive orange motorbike which is described as having a large fuel tank with stripes on the side. Police said they have since recovered the bike.
