Funeral held for Aldershot murder victim

HUNDREDS of mourners showed their respects for murdered Aldershot father Andrew Rickwood, who was buried on Wednesday afternoon.
In a walking procession from his family home in Basing Drive, on the Tices Meadow estate in Aldershot, to St Paul’s Church in Tongham, Mr Rickwood’s coffin was carried in a traditional horse-drawn hearse.
Police motorcyclists stopped traffic to allow the procession to pass.
Mr Rickwood was stabbed to death just yards from his home in Basing Drive early in the morning of July 20.
His funeral, at St Paul’s, was held close to where he was born and grew up as a child.
