Man charged after schoolboy hit by car in Ash

A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with an incident where a schoolboy was hit by a car in Ash.

Adam Wilkins, a Year 7 pupil at Ash Manor School, was knocked down in Ash Manor Road on the afternoon of Thursday, September 13.

A man from Farnborough has now been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, driving otherwise than in accordance with a driving licence and having no insurance.

He is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court on November 23.

Eleven-year-old Adam suffered a fractured skull, bruising to the brain and a broken ankle but was back home and recovering a week after the incident.
