A MOPED rider from Farnborough was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash with a bus last week.
Hampshire Police is appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision on Thursday, January 24 which resulted in the 20-year-old man needing hospital treatment.
Police confirmed that at around 4.35pm, a black Yamaha moped was in a collision with a single-decker bus in Mayfield Road, near the junction with Totland Close, Farnborough.
After being taken to hospital the moped rider was treated for severe bruising. He was released the next day. The bus driver, a 45-year-old man also from Farnborough, was not injured.
PC Terry Barnes, of the Roads Policing Unit at Whitchurch, said: "This collision happened at a busy time of day. There were a lot of people around at the time who may have seen the cause of the collision.
“We particularly want to hear from the driver of a vehicle which was parked on the side of Mayfield Road and who drove away shortly before the collision."
Anyone with information is asked to call Hampshire Police on 101.
