E-fit released following Blackwater robbery
By Tim HarrisFebruary 04, 2013
THIS is the face of the man police are searching for in connection with a robbery in Blackwater last month.
Hampshire Police have released this e-fit image of the man they wish to talk to about the robbery, which took place in the early hours of January 5.
Police described how an 18-year-old man was walking home between 1.15am and 1.25am, in Fernhill Road, when he was approached by two men, who implied they were carrying a knife.
It is said the men put their hands in the victim's pockets and stole his wallet and an iPhone 4 mobile, before telling him to run off.
Hampshire Police confirmed the robbers escaped along Fernhill Lane. The victim was not harmed.
The force has released descriptions of the men. They are both described as Asian, around 6ft tall, of a muscular build, with short dark hair and facial stubble.
PC Matt McCarthy, of Hampshire Police, said: "We believe that the two men were hanging around in the area just before the robbery took place and that they then left in the direction of Fernhill Lane.
“The victim was not injured but this was a shocking experience and we therefore want to identify those responsible as soon as possible.
“I would like to hear from you if you were in the area at the time of the incident or if you can identify the suspect in the e-fit image.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Hampshire Police on 101, or call Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
