Fatal crash at Yateley Heath Wood
By Laura NightingaleFebruary 19, 2013
A DRIVER died when his car left a rural road and struck two trees in Yateley Heath Wood.
The 31-year-old from Farnham crashed in Blackbushes Road shortly after a left-hand bend on the stretch in Minley.
His grey Ford Focus left the carriageway and went across the road to the other side before hitting the trees.
The car was discovered with extensive damage at around 22.45pm on Saturday (February 16). No other vehicles were involved.
A passer-by reported the crash and told police that the driver was not responding to them.
An officer based at Whitchurch police station arrived at the scene to find the driver was already dead after sustaining serious injuries.
The man is yet to be formally identified by police.
Officers have asked anyone who saw the car being driven prior to the crash between the A30 and B3013, or who witnessed the accident, to get in touch.
Anyone with information can contact Sgt Martin Mundy at Whitchurch roads policing unit on 101, quoting Operation Bulwark.
