WILCON Homes, Britain's fifth largest house builder, has been chosen by Defence Estates to redevelop the former Gurkha HQ at Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Church Crookham.

The proposals for the 193 acre site include a new school, a creche, a doctors' surgery, sports pitches, a village hall and local shopping. Up to 1000 new homes are proposed over a seven year period.Wilcon says there will be protection for sensitive woodland areas and something to commemorate the link with the Gurkhas.
