Following last week’s story (Heritage ‘must be preserved’) and the call for a civic society, the need for some means to safeguard Farnborough’s heritage cannot be more timely with Ferneberga House, the site of the old Town Hall, on Guildford Road West, recently having been boarded up (pictured).

6. Points on fire risk

Having seen the news about the horrific Warehouse fire in Warwickshire where four firefighters tragically lost their lives, I wonder what would happen if there was such an incident in one of the proposed new megasheds at Hartland Park (Pyestock). I believe the following points should be adequately addressed before any go-ahead is given.

Following the recent tragic fire in Warwickshire, Rushmoor’s Labour group has backed the growing call for Government to change the regulation so that all new and existing buildings whether for leisure or similar use or commercial and office sites of any size should have fire resisting suppression systems fitted.
