21. Alleyway woes
Get Hampshire, Thursday 1 November 2007IT’S time for Tory led Hampshire County Council to act to the demands of the local community in North Town, and to gate the alleyway between Ash Road and Eland Road. All local authorities were given new powers this year to close off alleys where antisocial behaviour is a problem.
22. Dismay at homes reaction
Get Hampshire, Thursday 1 November 2007IT WAS most disturbing to see Rushmoor Borough Council’s very negative reaction to the proposal in the Green Paper from Housing Minister Yvette Cooper, entitled “Homes for the Future: More Affordable, More Sustainable (Star, Oct. 11). The Government simply wants half of the 4,500 new homes on the former military site between Aldershot and Farnborough to be affordable. We definitely need more homes for rent in Aldershot.
23. A proposal for the old chapel
Get Hampshire, Thursday 1 November 2007THIS old chapel in Victoria Road, Farnborough, is proving to be an expensive liability, having now to be surrounded by guard rails for public protection as slates might fall from the roof.
