ALDERSHOT Town director John Leppard has handed over the chairman's armband to Kris Machala.
In a statement released on Friday evening, club chief executive Peter Duffy confirmed that Mr Machala was the new chairman of Aldershot Town Football Club, with John Leppard becoming vice chairman.
In his statement to fans, Mr Duffy said: "The Board is critical for our Club's performance, our organisation, stability and our continuity.
"As such, it is important that the directors serving on the Board possess the capabilities and capacity, individually but more so collectively, to lead the club."
Family affair
As well as Camberley businessman Mr Machala and Mr Leppard, there is a welcome return onto the board of a familiar name to Shots supporters.
Michael McGinty, son of late Aldershot Town chairman John McGinty, who died last year, becomes a director of the club.
Tony Cotungo and Peter Bloomfield make up the rest of the board, although Mr Duffy indicated that the club would be looking to add another four or five faces to the boardroom in the coming months.
"We would particularly like to welcome Michael McGinty onto the board," Mr Duffy said.
