Aldershot Town travel to Kent to face Maidstone United after a hard fought 0-0 draw against York saw them go five games unbeaten.

The game will see Gary Waddock's men do battle on yet another artificial pitch, the last time they did so they lost 2-0 to Sutton down at Gander Green Lane.

The side have been training on 4G ahead of today's tie so the difference in playing surface won't be an excuse for the performance.

Liam Bellamy is definitely missing as he prepares to undergo surgery on his knee ligament injury that he sustained during the 2-1 loss at Forest Green in November, while Nick Arnold will also miss the tie after returning to non-contact training on Tuesday.

As ever, we'll have all the action right live right here from 2pm.

Maidstone are piling on the pressure

Nervy moments for Shots! Sam-Yorke beats Buckley to the ball when the defender should just clear it but a last minute challenge from Evans has stopped them yet again

Booking for Maidstone

Kellermann is fouled and Prestedge goes into the books, but not before he has some afters with skipper Reynolds.

Meanwhile, Taylor comes off for Sam-Yorke

Bernard Mensah is replaced by Rendell and Fenelon makes way for Kanu

Mensah curls over

A nice bit of pressure sees Mensah curl a strike well over the goal, but it’s the best spell the away side have had in the second half today.

Meanwhile, it looks like Scott Rendell and Idris Kanu are coming on

Maidstone knocking on the door

Taylor breaks down the left and cuts in, beating Alaexander before firing off a strike at goal, but it’s straight at Cole again and he makes an easy save.

Kellermann into the book

Kellermann is a lucky boy!

He flies into a challenge in the middle of the park and is lucky to get just a yellow

Another Maidstone header

Maidstone win yet another header from a corner which is blocked once again, but the Shots are struggling at the start of this season half

Cole makes a great save

What a save from Jake Cole!

The corner comes in and Coyle meets it, but Cole manages to dive and save it from point blank range to deny Maidstone an equaliser

First chance for Maidstone

Reynolds is beaten in the air and Loza is through, but Buckley makes a great covering block to deny the winger

SECOND HALF: Maidstone United 0-1 Aldershot Town

Maidstone get us underway for the second half just as the pitch disappears into the shadows

Almost back underway here

We’re almost ready for the second half here at the Gallagher Stadium, it doesn’t look like there will be any half time subs

HALF TIME: Maidstone United 0-1 Aldershot Town

Aldershot have the lead at half time but it had been a fairly even game.

The away side have lived dangerously at times but it was a lovely free kick from Benyu to give them the lead.

Interestingly, the referee leaves the pitch to some boos from the home fans as well as a wagging finger from Waddock

Strong defending from Shots

It looked like Maidstone were in but another great last ditch tackle from Evans denied the hosts once again with two minutes left in the tie

Strike from Maidstone

A good throw finds Prestedge and he has a go from outside the box, but the strike is tame and easy for Cole to collect

Kellermann is in the wars

Kellermann is getting an absolute battering in the middle of the park today, he’s down again and getting attention from Russ Clash near the centre circle

The handbags are out

Kellermann is flattened and the handbags come out between Mensah and the Maidstone players, but it’s quickly disbanded

Chance for Fenelon

The ball breaks on the right hand side and Fenelon bursts into the box and onto the loose ball, but he fires his effort wide of Worgan’s post

Gallagher goes into the book

Gallagher goes in from behind and takes his man down and goes into the book for hsi trouble, and from the resulting free kick the ball drops to Twumasi who fires a great striker just over

Vital challenge from Reynolds

Jamar Loza thinks he is in but Reynolds recovers with a vital tackle to deny the forward

He seems to be alright

He’s up and jogs off the pitch, it looks like he’ll be okay to continue as Waddock tells his man to calm down just a little bit in the middle of the park

Benyu down

Benyu is tackled in the middle of the pitch and he’s down - Russ Clash is out to see to him

GOAL: Maidstone United 0-1 Aldershot Town

Benyu curls the free kick into the bottom corner and gets his first senior goal!

It was a lovely free kick and he is visibly delighted - that;s exactly what Aldershot needed

Shots freekick on the edge of the 18 yard box

Benyu charges through and gets brought down and now Shots have a free kick right on the edge of the 18 yard box

15 minutes gone

We’re just about 15 minutes in now and it has been a fairly even contest so far with very little to talk about in terms of chances.

Waddock will be happy with how his side have settled but they need to start testing Worgan

McClure causing problems

McClure gets the ball out wide after a nice interchange and plants a lovely ball into the middle of the box, but there’s no one there to meet it.

He’s started the game well today

Fenelon offside

Fenelon is offside but what a flick on from McClure to find the winger - that will give him a wealth of confidence

Nervous about team changes

Twitter user @38Caz is a tad worried about the game today as a result of the change in personnel - what do you reckon?

Great tackle by Gallagher

Evans gives the ball away in midfield as Maidstone break, but as the ball drops back in the box Gallagher is there to make a great tackle to deny Maidstone an opportunity at goal

Formations today

It looks like Maidstone are playing with four at the back, but each full back has license to tear forward when the ball is on their side of the pitch, making the back four into a back three.

Meanwhile, it’s 4-3-3 for Shots

Kick off: Aldershot Town 0-0 Maidstone United

Benyu gets us underway!
