Nick Arnold is set to miss six weeks after the defender suffered an ankle injury in Aldershot Town's 1-0 loss to Eastleigh last week.

The 23-year-old underwent an MRI scan on Monday to determine what damage the defender had sustained after he went flying into a challenge in the dying moments of the game against Eastleigh, although the club knew the ankle wasn't broken.

Results have shown that Arnold's ankle has inflammation and bleeding in the joint and the initial prognosis is six weeks, although the injury may require further investigation, meaning the defender could be out for longer.

He is amongst a number of Gary Waddock's side who are in the treatment room at the moment, with Shamir Fenelon, Liam Bellamy, Jake Cole and Callum Reynolds all missing Saturday's loss against Sutton with various injuries.

However, Bellamy did return to training on Friday and he could be fit for Saturday's game against Boreham Wood, while Reynolds is also expected to return to first team action shortly.

Jack Saville was also taken off injured after the defender suffered a cut to the head and was taken to hospital for stitches after the match on Saturday, but he should be fit for the Boreham Wood game.
