Call the Shots - Andy Scott looks ahead to FA Trophy clash

Aldershot Town are in cup action against Worcester City this weekend

Andy Scott

After a weekend off, Aldershot Town are ready and raring to get back into the thick of the action as they take on Worcester City in the FA Trophy second round on Saturday.

Boss Andy Scott has confirmed that having no game last weekend was good news in terms of injury recovery progress for the likes of Mark Molesley and Joe Oastler.

Midweek also saw some useful time on the pitch for fringe and youth players as local rivals Farnborough claimed a penalty shootout victory in the Hampshire Senior Cup.

Shots will be looking to improve in the FA Trophy after nearly being shocked by Weston-super-Mare in the first round, before recovering to win 5-2 in the replay.
