GRAHAM Westley has left Farnborough Town in further turmoil after his refusal to pay outstanding wages owed to sacked defender Jim Rodwell left the club imposed with a transfer embargo by the Nationwide Conference.
Rodwell remains on the Boro books after he won an appeal against his sacking by Westley and still has 18 months left on his £100,000 contract. But he claims Westley still owes him wages in excess of £22,000.
The ruling means that the club are now barred from registering any other player on Conference terms — even youth players — while the club may not be able to agree to the departure of any player from now until the end of the season, due to the small size of Ian McDonald's squad, currently standing at 18.
Meanwhile, Westley has opened his purse strings again to sign Boston striker Anthony Elding whilst still in pursuit of Leigh RMI hitman Dino Maamria for Stevenage.
