ROSCOE D'sane is the new darling of Aldershot Town after seeing off Doc Martens premier division high-fliers Havant with a two-goal show.

The lively D'sane, a steal from neighbours Woking, struck fine goals on 56 and 61 minutes to complete the summer double over the south coast side following the Hampshire Senior Cup victory in May.

But it was the manner in which the Shots ground out victory which proved the talking point of the afternoon. Slowly but surely they are looking a class act and are rightfully giving their fans cause for optimism.

Substitute D'sane bagged the first after a superb run and cross from Jon Nutter, completing a fine one-touch move. His second goal came five minutes later when latching onto Adam Parker's through ball to slot home.

SHOTS: Bull (Howells); Hooper, Chewins (Nutter), Sterling, Cousins (Kuhl), A Charles (Chewins), Carroll, Holsgrove (Gell), McEwen (L Charles), A Bubb (D'sane), Parker.

The Shots are back in action tonight (Tuesday) when they travel to Metropolitan Police (ko 7.45pm).
