SHOTS hitman Roscoe D'sane has been forced to cancel a family holiday in order to fulfill any footballer's dream and represent his country.
D'sane was one of only three non-Conference players picked for Paul Fairclough's 18-man squad which takes to the field next week in the the National Game XI Four Nations tournament in Wales.
The 18-goal striker decided to put his holiday plans on hold on the advice of boss Terry Brown and now takes his place in a forward line which includes Yeovil's Kirk Jackson, Barnet's Junior Agogo, Morecambe's Lee Elam and Tamworth's Scott Rickards.
D'sane joins Rickards and Canvey Island's John Kennedy as the only three to have impressed Fairclough from outside the Conference although the former two will, of course, be playing in the top flight next season.
Full squad: Brown (Chester); Weale (Yeovil), Guyett, Collins, Hatswell (all Chester), Kennedy (Canvey Island), Skiverton (Yeovil), Rose (Hereford), Crittenden, Johnson, Way (all Yeovil), Drummond, Elam (both Morecambe), Terry (Dagenham & Red), Jackson (Yeovil), D'sane (Shots), Agogo (Barnet), Rickards (Tamworth).
Brown said: "I'm really pleased for Roscoe. He had had a good year for us and to make the squad from outside the Conference is a great acheivement."
l Brown also has reason to celebrate — he has been named Isthmian Manager of the Year after guiding the Shots to the title.
