Fast starting Wade content with Premier form
By Jon CouchMarch 14, 2013
ALDERSHOT darts ace James Wade played down his strong start to the McCoy's Premier League season - revealing he was just happy not to be in the bottom two.
The world No.3 has picked up seven points from his opening five games and will look to continue his run of form when he meets Australian rival Simon Whitlock in round six of the competition in Manchester on Thursday night.
"If I'm anywhere outside of the bottom two then I'm happy because I've normally started slowly and been bottom, so it's good," admitted Wade, the 2009 champion.
"All the players in the Premier League are great and I'll treat Simon the same as everyone else, but I'm excited and I want to play every game at the moment, and my game's starting to come together as a whole now.
"I think what's more apparent than ever is that my scoring's starting to be there.
"I've always been able to finish, because that's the easy part of the game, it's getting to the finish which is the hard thing. Every leg's crucial and you've got to take every chance you get a poke at."
