Dance lessons strictly for charity

Fancy having a go at ballroom dancing? Give it a go and raise money for charity at the same time

Have a go at ballroom dancing in aid of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice

The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham is joining forces with an Aldershot dance school to offer 20 people the chance to ballroom dance.

Anyone inspired by BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and who fancies themselves as one of the next star dancers, Angela’s Dance School, on Queen’s Road in Aldershot, plans to provide budding dancers with 10 Sunday evening lessons.

There is no charge but participants are asked for sponsorship, which goes to the hospice in Farnham’s Waverley Lane. Applicants should be beginners and available for 10 weeks on a Sunday evening.

Ruth Masters, community and events fundraising manager at the hospice, said: “Applications from all are welcome whether you’re single or in a couple.

“We hope to chose 10 couples to participate by the end of January.” To find out more and register interest, email fundraising@pth.org.uk or call 01252 729446.
