A pair of dancing sisters from Farnborough are currently touring the UK with theatre productions of West Side Story and Swan Lake.

Danielle, 27, and Nicole Cato, 22, started dancing at six and three years old, respectively, at Renton Dance Studio in Farnborough before both going on to train at the Royal Ballet School when they were 11.

Danielle is currently performing in West Side Story, which is touring and will be at Woking Theatre from February 18 to March 1.

Before joining the West Side Story cast, Danielle was a contestant on BBC Two’s So You Think You Can Dance and has performed in many shows including Grease: The Musical and Fame.

After finishing at the Royal Ballet School, Nicole went onto the Scottish Ballet and most recently was in the West End cast of The Phantom of the Opera.

Nicole, who is currently performing in Birmingham, said: “It is an honour to be in something that I’ve always loved, I’m really proud to be in Swan Lake and that Danielle is in West Side Story. It all stemmed from being at Renton Dance School.

“Everyone should come and see Swan Lake when it comes to Woking, it is done really differently and is very powerful.”

Swan Lake is at Woking Theatre from March 17 to March 23.

Senta Renton, head of the Renton Dance Studio, said Danielle and Nicole keep in contact with the dance school and still come to classes when they are back in Farnborough.

“They’re still fully involved in what we do.

“As a school we are thrilled to have them both in these productions, a few of us are going to go to Woking to support them.”
