What is it with us and smallness? We Brits love it – being tiny but fierce, close but distant. Jedward-haired award-winning comedian Russell Kane is just like that and he returns with a new blisteringly big-small show you can enjoy at The Princes Hall, Aldershot on Thursday February 13, at 8pm.
Watch him work through thoughts about smallness; on keeping things small when life gets big.
Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2010 and the Barry Award 2011, Russell Kane is a multi-talented writer and performer who has firmly established himself as one the best comics in the UK today.
Russell is currently gearing up to host the second series of Live at the Electric for BBC3. He was back on our screens last November co-hosting the second series of the much loved Unzipped (formerly Britain Unzipped) also on BBC3.
Proving he has many strings to his bow, last April saw the publication of Russell's debut novel The Humorist, to rave reviews, truly marking his entry into the literary sphere.
Aside from winning two of comedy’s most prestigious awards, the last couple of years have been prolific for Russell: he rejoined ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Now presenting team, broadcasting live every night; presented Freak Like Me, a 6 part series for BBC3; he wrote a play called The Great British Country Fete for the Bush Theatre; he made an acclaimed appearance on BBC One’s flagship live comedy show Live at the Apollo.
A regular on both Radio and TV panel shows, Russell has appeared on Celebrity Juice (ITV), The Apprentice: You're Fired (BBC2), Set List (Sky Atlantic) and Morgan Spurlock’s New Britannia (Sky Atlantic), Mock the Week (BBC2), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), is a regular guest on The Wright Stuff (Five), It’s Your Round and Just a Minute (BBC Radio 4), A Good Read (BBC Radio 4) and Britain’s Got More Talent (ITV2), to name but a few.
Tickets to see him at The Princes Hall are priced at £17.50 and are available from the box office on 01252 329155 or online at.
