On the silver screen - Surrey and Hampshire movie map

A selection of the Surrey and Hampshire locations used for films over the years

Colin Firth is returning to Surrey to film his latest blockbuster.

Currently untitled, the 54-year-old's latest project is about Donald Crowhurst, a yachtsman who attempted to circumnavigate the world solo.

So to mark that we've updated our movie map to show the numerous locations used by dozens of films over the years.

Take Aldershot and Dunsfold Park both featuring in Brad Pitt's World War Z; Ron Howard's F1 movie Rush being filmed at Blackbushe Airport near Yateley; Guildford Cathedral's ominous appearance in The Omen; Daniel Craig and Pierce Brosnan filming James Bond scenes at various locations around the region; and, more recently, Harry Hill and Julie Walters in Byfleet for The Harry Hill Movie, while The Avengers: Age of Ultron, has also been filming in Surrey and north-east Hampshire.

Samuel L Jackson and Johnny Depp used locations in Surrey in 2014.

While Jackson's film, Tarzan: The Untamed, has been swinging its way through Virginia Water, Depp's sequel to his 2010 Alice in Wonderland hit has been shooting in East Horsley.

Then, of course, there is Shepperton Studios with its history of credits stretching back to 1934.

Take a look at our map below and use this form to let us know about any other films you recall being shot around Surrey and north-east Hampshire. You can also submit any photos you have of the film sets - did you get your picture taken with a Hollywood star, or have you appeared as an extra in any of the movies?
