Purveyors of hi-octane folk rock, Leatherat, return for their annual bash at The Boileroom, Guildford on Saturday April 26.
Leatherat are dedicated to playing original folk-rock music fast and loud.
They have played to over 150,000 people during the course of their existence; in more than 300 venues, festivals, clubs and pubs. They are well recognised on the touring festival circuit. Formed in 2004 they have shared stages with highly acclaimed acts including Levellers, Hawkwind (Space Ritual), Fairport Convention, Status Quo, Jethro Tull, 3 Daft Monkeys, Seth Lakeman, Newton Faulkner, Steve Harley, Scouting For Girls, and The Christians. They are a huge favourite at Weyfest and have played at the Rural Life Centre every year.
Influences of the band are Levellers, Fairport Convention, Hawkwind and Wolfstone to name but a very small few.
The band have released four studio albums, most recently Uprising, which features the single All In This Together.
Also returning for their yearly date at The Boileroom are The True Deceivers with their own blend of rootsy folk rock/Americana and hardcore, barstool troubadour STEViE One Bloke One Mandolin playing his gutsy, edgy and raw music; and local legend Keith Woodhouse who will be playing a few quality tunes in between bands.
Doors open at 7.30pm and admittance is 18+.
