LOUISIANA-born Eugene "Hideaway" Bridges and his five-piece band perform an evening of foot-stomping soul-soaked blues at Aldershot's West End Centre on March 21 at 8pm.
"Eugene has an awesome stage presence," says Barney Jeavons, artistic programme co-ordinator at the West End Centre.
"His soul-stirring sweet voice has a smoothness that reminds me of Sam Cooke, whilst his guitar playing is like a younger version of BB King."
He formed his first band when he was only seven. He then went on to tour America and Europe fronting various outfits, including Big Jo Turner's Memphis Blues Caravan.
Eugene comes to the West End Centre with his excellent band, promoting the new album Man Without a Home.
Tickets are £5 from the box office on 01252 330040.
