Neville Staple

ALDERSHOT’S West End Centre has just announced that two-tone Ska legend Neville Staple will appear there on Thursday, June 19 as part of his European tour.

Neville shot to fame as front man of The Specials, who forever changed the sound of modern music with such classic tracks as Ghost Town, A Message To You Rudy and Too Much Too Young. He then formed Fun Boy Three and continued the hits with It Ain’t What You do (It’s The Way That You Do It).

“This man is an icon of recent times,” says Barney Jeavons, West End Centre Director. “The Specials were one of the most important bands of their generation and Fun Boy Three brought Neville even more mainstream success.”

Coventry born Neville now lives in California and is jetting in to perform at the West End Centre with his four piece American band who will be playing all the classic Specials numbers as well as heaps of new material.

“Neville is a captivating and charismatic performer who really gives the audience his all on stage,” continues Barney. “We feel really privileged that he is performing here at the West End Centre.”

Show starts at 8pm. Tickets are £8.50 (£7.50 concessions). Call the box office on 01252 330040.
