Wildheart and Lyric takes their love story performance of Birdy to the West End Centre
Enter the wild world of Wildheart & Lyric via the stage at the West End Centre, Aldershot, where the imaginative company will perform Birdy on Saturday October 26, at 8pm.
A thrilling, fast paced adventure with physical mayhem, comedy and live original music, Birdy is a love story that skips brazenly past the ‘happy ever after’ and laughs joyously at the absurdity of real life. A world famous Chanteuse, Birdy and a hopeless young illusionist fall passionately in love, but with the birth of their first child, the spotlight suddenly shifts.
Wildheart & Lyric was founded in 2012 by sisters Mella Faye Punchard and Katie Cooper. Mella is a stalwart of the music festival scene. She travels far and wide with The Hurly Burly Theatre Cafe at Glastonbury, Wilderness, Secret Garden Party, Shambala, Latitude, Camp Bestival and many more. Katie has performed with children’s theatre company Gomito and now tours with her one woman show for children, Mrs McMoon.
Accompanying the sisters in the show are performers Carla Espinoza, Oliver Harrsion and Alex Stanford. Birdy is produced by Natalie Richardson and directed by Abigail Dooley.
The production is not suitable for under 12s. Tickets cost £12 full, £10 concessions.
