Special agent on the stage

BRITAIN'S ultimate wireless hero - special agent Dick Barton - takes to the stage in Tango of Terror at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre between February 19 and 23.

Presented by the highly-acclaimed Warehouse Theatre, the stage version of Dick Barton is a hilarious blend of parody, song, dance and Pythonesque fun.

It sees our square-jawed hero pitted against a ruthless Latin Lothario determined to use his sultry charms to wheedle his wicked way into the boudoirs and jewellery boxes of Belgravia, depriving London's dowagers and debutantes of their diamonds and their dignity in one fell swoop.

Dick is joined by his trusty sidekicks Jock and Snowy and a host of familiar old pals for a night of thrills, spills and some tip-top tunes.

Anyone who remembers gathering round the wireless for a teatime treat of Dick Barton will be delighted by this spirited revival, and for those who haven't yet been lucky enough to meet the dashing Dick this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Ticket prices range from £11 to £23.50. Call the box office on 01483 440000.
