They did the corkscrew, they did the mirror and they did the one where they fly straight at each other and narrowly avoid a collision - yes, the Red Arrows were a real treat at the 2014 Farnborough International Air Show!

Accelerating up to 400mpg, pulling 4G and barking commands at one another as they went, the formation flyers left a trail of red, white and blue in the sky and breathless spectators on the ground.

The Red Arrows displays were the big draw on both the air show's public days at Farnborough Airport, on Saturday and Sunday.

And as visitor John Thompson, from Portsmouth put it, their performance was "thoroughly invigorating, a real pleasure.
