As part of our countdown towards this year's Farnborough Air Show, Get Hampshire is bringing you photos of previous displays.

This time we visit 1996, held from September 2-8, a year when the Eurofighter made its debut at the show alongside the Chinese MD-90, the Boeing 777 and the full Airbus range which at the time consisted of the A319, A330 and A340.

That year's show also featured a flypast by the Northrop Grumman B-2 which was on a non-stop flight from the US.

However, it was a smaller show due to a drop in British-produced aircraft while there was little participation from countries such as Italy with France, Russia and the United States being the major international exhibitors.
