An interactive addition to the Farnborough Air Show

From Samuel Cody to the age of supersonic and the future - the Labyrinth of Invention will chart the history of aviation

New for the 2014 Farnborough Air Show is the Labyrinth of Invention, which looks back at a century of aviation.

The attraction will include live actors, physical and mental challenges and special effects as visitors are taken from the dawn of aviation right up to today's manufacturing plants - a history of more than 100 years.

The walk-through experience is suitable for all family members and lasts for about 20 minutes.

Cody's Shed

Meet Samuel Cody himself in his invention shed to look back at his first flight in 1908.

Second World War

Commercial flight

Farnborough Air, Farnborough's very own commercial airline, needs a flight team at the check-in desk, to sort out the luggage, record an airport announcement and design the in-flight food menu. A giant inflatable slide allows you to practice an emergency exit while a stewardess needs assistance in giving a safety demonstration.

Sky School

Inspect pilots' uniforms from throughout the ages and learn to stand in flight formations used by acrobatic display teams.
