Anger at demolition of historic Yateley buildings

OPPOSITION is growing to a plan to demolish Lloyds pharmacy and George Parker and Sons funeral directors in Reading Road.

Hart District Council is considering an application that would see retail space, along with a three-storey block of flats and a 12-space car park, built on the site occupied by the two Yateley businesses.

Both buildings, considered by many to be historic landmarks in the town, are situated in the Church End Green conservation area.
