ROADS were sealed off in Church Crookham on Wednesday morning after a 500lb bomb was found on the former Queen Elizabeth Barracks site.

The device, believed to have been dropped by a WWII German bomber, was found by a builder at the new mini-town site just after 8am.

A 400m cordon was set up and roads were closed, but an army bomb disposal team declared the device safe.
