Yateley is a suburban town with many pubs, schools and small shops. It includes the areas of Frogmore and Darby Green and is part of Hart district. The town's northern border is the River Blackwater around the Yateley Lakes, and Yateley Town Council meets regularly at The Tythings. Yateley Common has nearly 500 acres of countryside.
